Forestview High School, WCU graduate’s life of service leads to a new post with the US Congress

Aaron D. Marshall, a 2010 graduate of Gaston County’s Forestview High School and the son of a doctor and a nurse, chose to follow in the spirit of his parents’ footsteps of providing care to those in need. But instead of waiting for the injured to come to him in a nice sterile clinic, he goes to them, following the trail of chaos and destruction left by terrorism, hurricanes, earthquakes, tornadoes and other disasters.

Advancement staff sets holiday hours to assist with year-end giving

The Division of Advancement will be open for several hours on the last two days of December to assist donors with year-end giving.

WCU Board of Trustees approves increased student athletic fees, campaign feasibility study and new status for some scholarship recipients

WCU’s Board of Trustees endorsed a schedule of fees and rates for the 2022-23 academic year that would increase the cost of mandatory athletic fees paid by $86 a year.  

Giving Tuesday

Giving Tuesday goal exceeded as donors provide more than $443,000

WCU blew past its goal of raising $250,000 for general scholarship support on Giving Tuesday as 443 donors contributed a total of $443,517.
