Lunch will be served and entertainment will be provided by WCU’s Purple Thunder drum line and the Catamount Singers and Electric Soul.
She will be joined in presenting readings by fellow poets Amber Flora Thomas and Sally Thomas.
The event will include the unveiling of a model of a sculptured bust of David O. Belcher in recognition of his background as a pianist and his support of the arts.
The early registration fee is $139 through Wednesday, May 1, with lunch included.
A reception honoring the artists is scheduled for 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, April 25.
Lori Oxford and Alberto Centeno-Pulido, faculty members in WCU’s Department of World Languages, will lead the trip.
The spring update for the campus community had been scheduled for Monday, April 29.
The event features projects for regional North Carolina business and industry, as developed by senior engineering and engineering technology students.
The April 26 event will include discussion about the needs of the high-tech industry and how to develop collaborative efforts in the 24 westernmost counties.
