Fund for WCU, 1889 Impact Grants provide online safety, success training for new students

Twelve new incoming students were each recipients of a $500 grant award for completing online training courses designed to help them make a seamless transition to university life.

WCU recently welcomed 58 new members into the ranks of faculty and staff donors who, in addition to their contributions to the university through their work, also contribute financially to the university.

Randolph CC students to have guaranteed admission to WCU

Chancellor Kelli R. Brown and Shah Ardalan, president of Randolph Community College, signed a memorandum of understanding between the two institutions that guarantees admission to WCU for all Randolph graduates who satisfy certain requirements.

The revival of the First Gen Club, an initiative sponsored by the Mentoring and Persistence to Success Program, was made possible by $5,000 from the 1889 Impact Grants initiative through the Fund for WCU.
