0147 06-04676 Fire Leatherwood Report

     Officers responded to a possible fire outside Leatherwood and
located where a pizza box had burned.

 

0250 06-04677 Fire Alarm Bird Report

     The Cullowhee Fire Department and the University Police responded
to a fire alarm at the Bird Building. No problem was located.

 

0332 06-04680 Burglar Alarm UC Report

     Officers responding to a burglar alarm at the UC did not locate a
problem.

 

0401 06-04681 Fire Alarm Bird Report

     The Cullowhee Fire Department and the Police responded again to
Bird for a fire alarm. The problem was believed to be mechanical and
Facilities Management was notified.

     

0614 06-04682 Burglar Alarm Hunter Report

     Officers responding to a burglar alarm at Hunter found it was
activated by employees accidentally.

 

0800 06-04684 Accident/Assist EMS Wachovia Report

     Officers investigated and accident and assisted EMS when a motorist
experiencing a medical problem's vehicle rolled into another vehicle.
The person was transported to Harris Regional Hospital.

 

1240 06-04686 Traffic Accident Baptist Church Lot Report

     Officers investigated a traffic accident caused when a vehicle that
was being pushed due to running out of gas accidentally rolled into
another vehicle.

 

1257 06-04687 Traffic Accident Helder/Leatherwood Lot
Report

     Officers investigated a hit and run involving a vehicle receiving
damage while parked in the Helder/Leatherwood Lot.

 

1447 06-04689 Missing dog Moore Report

     Officers assisted in locating a student's dog that became missing
when she left it tied at Moore.

1550 06-04707 Larceny Book Store Report

     A commuter student reported his WCU parking permit had been stolen
while his Jeep was parked at the Book Store.

 

1530 06-04708 Larceny Campus Report

     A commuter student reported his WCU parking permit was stolen from
his vehicle from some unknown location on campus.

 

1843 06-04711 Burglar Alarm Hunter Report

     Officers responding to a burglar alarm found it was accidentally
activated by employees.

0515 06-04717 Unlawful Entry Harrill Hall Report

     Officers investigating a male entering a room occupied by females
located the suspect who supposedly was visiting a student and exited the
wrong door of an adjoining bathroom. Investigation continues.

 

1123 06-04724 Traffic Accident Print Shop Report

     Officers investigated a two car accident in the print shop
involving backing.

 

1544 06-04730 Fire Alarm Belk Report

     Cullowhee Fire Department and the Police responded to a fire alarm
at the Belk Building. Facilities management responded to reset the
alarm.

 

1540 06-04733 Weapons Violations Reynolds Arrest

     Officers located two male students in Reynolds with weapons
resembling a gun in their hands. The weapons were airsoft guns and both
students were issued state citations for weapons on school campus.

 

2025 06-04737 Weapons Violations Buchanan Referrals x 5

     Officers speaking with a group about the dangers and consequences
for having an airsoft gun on campus issued 5 UJC referrals when the
students voluntarily surrendered their airsoft weapons. No criminal
charges were taken.

 

2115 06-04738 Fire Alarm/Vandalism Scott Report

     The Fire Department and Officers responding to a fire alarm at
Scott located where a "smoke bomb" device had been ignited between 9th
and 8th floor in a stairwell. The Cullowhee Fire Department used their
exhaust fans to extract the smoke. Investigation Continues.

 

2301 06-04739 Assist EMS Scott Report

     Officers assisted EMS when a student returning to Scott after the
smoke bomb incident suffered an asthma attack. The female student was
transported to Harris Regional Hospital.

  

0400 06-04743 Alcohol Violations Leatherwood Referrals x
2

     Officers responding to a noise complaint issued two male students
UJC's for underage consumption in Leatherwood Hall.
