2100 06-01760 DWI Checkpoint Cullowhee Area Report

     WCU Officers assisted Jackson County Sheriff's Dept, State Highway
Patrol and NC DMV in DWI checkpoints around Cullowhee. No DWI arrests
were made but several Traffic Violation citations were issued.

 

2120 06-01739 Traffic Violation Black Hawk Road Citation

     A non-student received a citation for knowingly displaying an
expired registration plate on their vehicle.

 

2158 06-01734 Traffic Violation Old Cullowhee Road
Citation

     A non-student received a citation for knowingly displaying an
expired registration plate on their vehicle.

 

2257 06-01735 Traffic Violation Old Cullowhee Road
Citation

     A non-student received a citation for not being licensed as a
driver by the Division of Motor Vehicles of North Carolina.

0119 06-01736 Traffic Violation Black Hawk Road Citation

     A non-student received a citation for fail to display a current
inspection registration on their vehicle.

 

0800 06-01733 Vandalism Village Report

     Officers investigated a broken window in the 2000 building at the
Village.

 

1350 06-01731 Drug Violations Harrill Report

     Officers will conduct an investigation further regarding a plain
view drug violation when students return from spring break.

 

1849 06-01738 Possession Stolen Property Harrill Report

     Officers will conduct an investigation further when students return
from spring break regarding the possession of a NC State Road Sign.

0720 06-01745 Water pipe burst Methodist Church Lot
Report

     Officers assisted when a truck backed over and broke a water pipe
at the Methodist Church.

 

0956 06-01747 Fire Alarm Village Report

     Officers received a fire alarm from the village. The panel
indicated it was clear when the officers arrived.

 

1026 06-01748 Fire Alarm Village Report

     Officers responded to a fire alarm at the village. The alarm
reset.

 

1119 06-01750 Fire Alarm Village Report

     Officers responded to another alarm at the village. Facilities
Management responded to the village.
