Officers investigated a suspicious cell phone call to a
female student.
1200 District Court Jackson County Plea
A male non-student pled guilty to communicating threats
stemming
from an off campus incident last month. The man threatened
two male
students at a Sylva business. A weapon found during the
arrest was
ordered by the judge to be destroyed. The defendant was
fined, given
a 45 day suspended sentence and ordered to 24 months of
supervised
probation.

Report
Officers received information that book buyers will be back
on
campus. All concerned were told of the University policy
regarding
book buyers.
1200 Found Wallet Hunter Library
University police have contacted the owner of a wallet found
in the
Library.

Officers cited a male student for a fraudulent parking
permit.
The permit had been altered.

Officers investigated a minor accident in the parking lot.

Arrest
Officers arrested a male student on an outstanding warrant
for failure to appear.

Report
University officers conducted a DWI Awareness Program for
a fraternity.
2023 Harassment Reid Gym Lot Report
Officers intervened in a situation involving three
non-students
who were threatening to fight. Girlfriend, ex-girlfriend
and boyfriend
situation.
2344 Open Door Harrill Lot
Report
Officers found a car door open, notified the owner, and the
door
was secured.

Officers cited a male student for an expired tag.
0021 Fight/Alcohol Violation Outreach Lot Report
Officers responded to a call box activation of a fight. The
participants were roommates and neither preferred to press
charges. Both were underage and had been drinking.
