INCIDENTS

1/6 1328 SUSPICIOUS PERSON SCOTT INVESTIGATION
                A student reported that a suspicious male had tried to enter the
                room where she was sleeping at approximately 4:10 a. m.

1/7 0930 LARCENY HUNTER LIBRARY INVESTIGATION
                Employees reported the theft of a set of World Book encyclopedia
                from the Library over the holidays.

        1130 SUSPICIOUS PERSON SCOTT INVESTIGATION
                On separate days, two students reported a suspicious male trying
                doors on the 8th floor of Scott. The first calls came in the morning
                after the incident. On the second call, officers were unable to locate
                the suspect.

        1335 LARCENY S. HARRILL LOT INVESTIGATION
                A student reported that someone had stolen his parking decal
                from his vehicle over the holidays.

        1545 BURGLARY/LARCENY SCOTT INVESTIGATION
                A student reported that someone had entered her room on the 8th
                floor of Scott between 1/3 and 1/7 and stolen her computer monitor.

        1939 LARCENY VILLAGE INVESTIGATION
                A student reported that a box of property was stolen from outside
                her room in the Village.

        2340 ALCOHOL VIOLATION BACK OF SCOTT REFERRED
                Officers referred to male students to Judicial Affairs for underaged
                possession of alcohol after finding beer in their car behind Scott.

1/8 0109 ALARM ALBRIGHT NO FIRE
                Caused by a phone fault.

        0140 ALCOHOL VIOLATION METHODIST CH LOT REFERRED
                Officers referred three male students to Judicial Affairs for under-
                aged possession of alcohol.

        1529 ASSIST LEA BLACKHAWK RD ASSIST
                Officers located a hit & run accident on the Old Cullowhee Rd.
                The suspect, a male non-student, in the hit & run was found
                approximately one hour later at a trailer park on Blackhawk
                Road where he had assaulted a male non-student with a
                machete. WCU officers saw him enter a trailer and barricade
                himself in. Jackson County's special enforcement team
                entered the trailer at approximately 7:30 p. m. and took the
                suspect into custody without injury.

        2157 ALARM RAMSEY NO FIRE
                Caused by system trouble. Would not reset. Notified Facilities
                Management.

1/9 0109 LITTERING/FIREWORKS WALKER ARREST
                Officers charged one student with littering and possession of
                fireworks and another student with littering after finding the
                subjects beside a car that was covered with trash at Walker.
                The fireworks were located in a subsequent consent search of
                a room.
