Animal Research Training

Training Requirements

Before submitting an application to the IACUC, all research personnel must successfully complete an online training module entitled  "Investigators, Staff, and Students - Lab Animal Research." This training is offered through through the Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI). All research personnel must maintain a current certification on file as a condition of study approval and the training course must be renewed every five years.

Additionally, all research personnel must complete animal safety training specific to their study species as required by the Office of Safety and Risk Management.
