Graduate Research Symposium

The annual Graduate Research Symposium is a part of the Research and Scholarship Celebration (RASC) at Western Carolina University.

The Graduate Research Symposium brings together poster presentations, oral presentations and an academic paper competition from graduate students across multiple disciplines and all aspects of research. Even online students can participate!

3-Minute Thesis Competition

Once a year, graduate students have the opportunity to develop their professional presentation and research communication skills by presenting their "3-Minute Thesis."

Students distill  their research projects into an engaging three-minute pre recoreded presentation designed for a general audience using just one slide. Cash prizes are available and all programs can participate.
