What is Qualtrics?

Qualtrics is an online survey provider that Western Carolina University offers to its students, faculty, and staff for educational reasons.

Purpose:

This software allows users with no advanced computer training to create and administer surveys to collect responses. It gives those with limited experience access to computer-oriented research capabilities and better availability to their intended audience.

Why are surveys important?

Researchers in all fields of study use different types of surveys to evaluate the trends or responses of large groups. Nearly every type of research can benefit from the use of surveys and survey software, including divisions of:

  • Healthcare
  • Politics
  • Education
  • Media
  • Art
  • Science
  • Literature
  • Economics

How Qualtrics Works:

Users are given accounts for the software which allow them to post and link their audience to surveys that can be kept either public or private.

  • Knowledge of coding isn’t necessary

To create a Qualtrics account, go to Qualtrics and log in with your email username and password.
