The WCU marching band was founded in 1938 with just 23 students. Today the award-winning Pride of the Mountains marching band has grown to almost 500 members, one of the largest in the United States. This "world’s largest funk-rock band" is widely regarded as one of the top marching bands in the Southeast for its elaborate field shows, with a crowd-pleasing medley of up-tempo pop tunes, electric guitars, singers and more.

Our 21st annual Tournament of Champions will be held on Saturday, October 15th 2022. More details regarding registration will be forthcoming.
Auditions for 2022 is set for May 14th. If you are planning to audition for these groups be sure to fill out the commitment form. Audition materials will be sent once the form is complete. Good Luck!
