Join us for our Percussion Clinic and auditions for the 2019 Percussion Section. You have the option to attend the clinic only or both the clinic and the auditions. Lunch and a T-Shirt will be provided. The Percussion clinician for 2019 will be Jeff Queen. Jeff has taught in the drum corps activity for over 18 years, including being the caption head for the Carolina Crown drum and bugle corps from 2003-04, percussion arranger for the Colts Drum and Bugle corps for 2007-08. Jeff is an original cast member of the Tony and Emmy award winning Broadway Show "BLAST" where he was a solo performer and battery instructor from 1999 - 2003. Jeff holds his BM in Music Theory and Composition and MM in Percussion Performance from Butler University. Currently, Jeff is the Percussion Director for Carmel High School in Carmel, IN, and is on the faculty with Butler University and Marian University.

Pride of the Mountains staff will be conducting these all day clinics as well as holding auditions for the Pride of the Mountains Colorguard section for the 2019 season. This year we will have a Dance Class, Flag Class, Rifle Class, and Sabre Class. Lunch and a T-Shirt will be provided. The Color Guard clinician will be Bobby Richardson, Director of the WCU Colorguard and members of the Pride of the Mountain Colorguard.
Wednesday, June 19th 10am to 6pm
Pride of the Mountains staff will be conducting an all day clinic for new members of the Pride of the Mountains Marching band. This day is a chance for new members to get a head start on learning our marching techinque and music. New members will get to meet the leadership team and get some tips and tools that will help them complete their video auditions.
This is also the second audition day for Percussion and Colorguard.

Be a part of an incredible student experience this summer and join us in the mountains. Open to High school students, at the Summer Symposium you'll join the band directors of WCU's Pride of the Mountains Marching Band for an immersive week of learning and fun.Directors can participate at a two of levels, Middle School and High School. The Director track is designed to give directors and instructors the opportunity to learn and collaborate with some outstanding clinicians. Offered again this year is the Band Booster forum. A two-day event for Executive Boards and general members of Middle School and High School Booster Organizations.
