Rob Johnson is currently adjunct faculty of tuba and euphonium at Western Carolina University.

Rob is an alumnus of Western Carolina University. There he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Education in 2000 and a Master of Music in Commercial and Electronic Music in 2006. His primary instructors include John Sizemore, Dr. Bruce Frazier, Bob Buckner, and Dr. Kenneth Kroesche.

Mr. Johnson worked 11 years in the school systems of central and western North Carolina, teaching middle and high school band and choral classes, as well as music technology courses. As a private instructor of brass, his students have rated superiors at state solo and chamber music competitions as well as chair placements in county, district, and state honor bands.

Rob has played tuba in a wide range of musical ensembles, from symphonic playing with the Asheville and Hendersonville Symphonies to marching with Carolina Crown Drum and Bugle Corp. He has played with numerous collegiate and community ensembles in North and South Carolina as well as playing in rodeo bands, quintets, and church ensembles.
