The School of Art and Design believes your education should be as individual as you are. We place high value on creativity, critical thinking, project development, community engagement and collaboration, as well as mastery of technique and craftsmanship. Our faculty bring to the studio and classroom a commitment to the process of innovation and skill building as well as a wide range of experience as makers, collaborators and researchers.
Our residential MFA program is a structured 3-year, 60-credit sequence of courses in studio art and research. Students who are admitted are provided with ample studio space and given the freedom of choice to work in a specific discipline or across any of our five program areas: Ceramics, Painting/Drawing, Photography, Printmaking + Book-Arts, and Sculpture.
