Undergraduate Programs

The College of Engineering and Technology is dedicated to preparing students to be innovators and leaders in the fields of engineering, technology and construction management. Our focus on hands-on learning enables students to work closely with faculty members in the classroom, in real-world work environments and in our highly acclaimed Center for Rapid Product Realization. Students receive a comprehensive educational experience that enables them to be ready to enter the workforce or go on to graduate school programs.

The College of Engineering and Technology offers six different undergraduate programs of study:

Engineering Technology - Applied Systems Technology

Electrical & Computer Engineering Technology

Engineering Technology - Technical Operations

Computer Requirements

 

All students enrolling for courses in the College of Engineering and Technology must have a laptop computer that meets standard university networking and hardware configuration requirements.

It is recommended that all incoming and prospective College of Engineering and Technology students have computers with the following:

Recommended Specs:

  • Windows operating system
  • At least 8GB of RAM
  • At least a 15" screen
  • An advanced graphics card to handle 3D graphics processing


Recommended Computer:

  • Dell Precision 5500 Series

Computers are available at a discounted rate at WCU’s Dell Store.

The College of Engineering and Technology also uses Virtual Computing Laboratories for instruction which requires a reliable internet connection.
