The Engineering Discovery program aims to create a lively, supportive learning community that welcomes students at all stages—especially those just beginning their engineering journey. The program offers innovative, holistic support, helping students connect with peers, explore major and career options, and build a sense of belonging. It also includes outreach and recruitment events targeting learners of all ages, showcasing what the field offers and what WCU has planned for future engineers.

Plan your classes and stay on track with one-on-one guidance from our in-house advisors. Make an appointment or visit Belk 362 during walk-in hours 8:30-9:30 a.m. Mondays & Thursdays and 3:30-4:30 p.m. Tuesdays & Wednesdays.
 
Peer Mentorship
Stop by Belk 362 to talk with a peer student mentor 12-1 p.m. Mondays & Wednesdays and 11 a.m.-noon Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Our student ambassadors represent the College of Engineering at events, welcome future Catamounts, and build strong communication and leadership skills. The WCU Engineering Discovery team visits schools and community partners to help inspire the next generation by sharing their passion for STEM and engineering.

Field Trip Activities
We also welcome K-12 groups visiting WCU and lead them in fun, interactive experiences that introduce students to engineering.
