Innovation, Project-based Learning, and Entrepreneurship are the cornerstones of excellence in our engineering and technology-focused programs at Western Carolina University. It is an honor and privilege to be associated with the outstanding students, faculty, and staff as the Dean of the College of Engineering and Technology at Western Carolina University.

Our programs in engineering, technology, and construction are world-class in every aspect. All of our Faculty have industry experiences to bring real-world applications to the classroom and experiential laboratory experiences. The hallmark of our programs is the Project-based Learning (PBL) environment all students take throughout their time at WCU.

Students work on real-world projects and address the Grand Challenges facing society globally. From affordable power, clean water, infrastructure issues, to virtual reality our undergraduate and graduate students meet the challenges facing society. The inclusion of The Rapid Center as part of the college enhances our capabilities to bring in industry sponsors for many of our projects and promote economic development in the southeast U.S. and beyond.
