Dr. Winter is the Dean of the College of Education and Allied Professions at Western Carolina University. She is a former Associate Dean, Associate Professor, Associate Chair, and Middle Level Program Director at the University of Texas at Arlington. Kim has taught elementary and middle school in both Texas and Indiana. Dr. Winter's research interests center around middle level education, teacher education, and the induction and retention of teachers.
