Weiler Joins Leandro Principal Planning Workgroup

Dr. Jess Weiler, Assistant Professor and Program Director of the Educational Leadership Program, was invited to join the state's Leandro Principal Planning Workgroup. This committee will work together using the design thinking process to imagine a system of professional development that ensures every school in North Carolina has a great principal--a principal who is equipped with the knowledge, skills, and dispositions needed to meet the needs of every single student in their school. The group will develop recommendations for a comprehensive, statewide system of professional development, mentoring, and ongoing support for in-service principals and assistant principals.
