Dr. Roya Scales, Professor of Literacy Education, David Scales, Assistant Professor of Psychology, and Tori Golden have published the article, "Writing for Comprehension: How does Writing Influence Informational Reading Comprehension in the Elementary Classroom," in the Literacy and Practice and Research Journal. Tori is a two-time WCU graduate, earning her B.S.Ed. in Elementary Education, and her M.A.Ed. in Comprehensive Education/Elementary Education- Literacy track. She is now a Ph.D. student at the University of Georgia.
