Dr. Lisa Bloom at UCJ Quality Assurance Conference

Dr. Lisa Bloom was part of an invited panel of experts on online assessment during the University Council of Jamaica’s (UCJ) 17th annual Quality Assurance in Higher Education Week that took place March 7-11, 2022.  

Dr. Bloom did an excellent job representing the college and WCU as she spoke about a range of assessment experiences that she collected from faculty who have taught in the program, along with her own experience, while stressing the importance of being responsive to the students and their difficult situations, particularly as the pandemic initially unfolded.

Dr. Bloom’s subject matter aligned well with her consistent emphasis on authenticity throughout her discussion. The presentations were recorded and will be available on the UCJ’s YouTube channel.
