Katelyn is in her second year at St. Stephens High School as the Student Services Administrative Assistant where she manages the counseling office through scheduling, new student campus tours, processing paperwork, and everything in between. This position has also allowed her to use her Spanish skills to assist Spanish-speaking students and parents in communicating with school counselors and administrators. Katelyn loves connecting with the high school students on a daily basis as well as being able to watch them achieve their goals and assisting them in any way she can!

Katelyn was recently hired part-time by Juntos 4-H — a program housed at NC State University in the Department of Academic and Student Affairs — as the Program Site Coordinator for Catawba County. She will be working with Latinx youth and their families to make high school graduation a family goal and help them gain access to higher education. She will work with students to make this possible through family engagement, one-on-one success coaching, bi-monthly 4-H club meetings, and summer programming. She is extremely excited to be giving back to her hometown community in a new way that unites her passion for serving with the Spanish language and culture!
