Becky Brown elected chair of WCU Board of Trustees
July 16Western Carolina University's Board of Trustees elected Becky Brown as chair during a special called meeting on Thursday, July 9. Brown succeeds Casey Cooper, who completed his term as chair and will continue serving on the board through June 30, 2029.

July 14One of Kellen Carpenter’s first memories during his early days working at Hunter Library as a technician in special collections is of helping an older gentleman find a picture of his family band. The gentleman had come in with his grandchildren to show them pictures from when he had performed at the Hubert Hays Youth Jamboree with his brothers.
