April Tallant named director of Coulter Faculty Commons
April 23After a national search, April Tallant has been selected as the new director of the Coulter Faculty Commons effective July 1. Tallant will replace Eli Collins-Brown, who will be retiring at the end of June after serving nearly six years as the CFC director.

Author and alumnus David Joy to give keynote address at WCU Research and Scholarship Conference
January 21Western Carolina University double alumnus and best-selling author David Joy will give the keynote address at the annual Research and Scholarship Conference at WCU. The event will take place from 5 to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, March 19 in the Ramsey Regional Activity Center.
