David Wells has been an educator in post-secondary education for over 10 years. He received his diploma in nursing in 1987 from the Los Angeles County School of Nursing. In 1999 he acquired his BSN from the University of Colorado; Colorado Springs. In 2011 he completed his MSN at Gardner-Webb University. His master's project consisted of evaluating the effectiveness of simulation on skill integration.
Mr. Wells has taught prehospital care in addition to nursing and also has a background in occupational nursing. He has extensive experience working as a camp nurse in a variety of settings and has served on a mountain search and rescue team as well as disaster medical assistance teams.
