On-Site Event Accommodations

What if special accommodations are needed?

Graduating students needing disability related accommodations for themselves or their guests should send an email to the Office of Accessibility Resources at accessibility@wcu.edu.  Some accommodations, such as sign language interpreting, require lead time to arrange, so please make requests as early as possible.

Where can I find information about parking?

Arrive early at the Ramsey Center.  On campus shuttle services will be available.  Handicap parking is available in Stadium lot #10 and there is a drop off area at the rear of the Ramsey Center for vehicles and buses.  The “drop off” area is for dropping off and picking up visitors that cannot walk long distances to their vehicles.  Cat Tran shuttles will also be running and will use the “drop off” area for loading and unloading visitors (11am-5pm).  Catamount Road is closed to all vehicles except for handicap permitted vehicles to access lot #10.  Traffic patterns and parking maps vary from commencement to commencement.  SEE the latest map!

Where can I find information about elevator access?

Handicap parking (with a Federal Handicap Placard or License Tag) will be available next to the Ramsey Center.  It will be well-marked and there will be individuals directing traffic who can help.  Guests with disabilities who park in handicap parking can take the elevator (on the truck tunnel side of the Ramsey Center) to the Concourse level for seating.
