Spring 2021 graduation application closed on Friday, February 19, 2021.
Once you apply for graduation, make sure you pay special attention to any emails that come from email@example.com. Status updates, reminders, and ceremony and line-up information will be sent to your Catamount email from this address.
All students - regardless of level, program, or campus - are responsible for checking their Catamount email.
If you are having problems with your Catamount email, please contact the IT HelpDesk at 828.227.7487. Be sure to check or deactivate your clutter feature before you contact IT to say that you are having trouble with your Catamount email.
After a series of virtual commencement ceremonies due to COVID-19 in 2020, Western Carolina University will resume modified, in-person commencement activities this spring for the class of 2021. The ceremonies will take place the weekend of May 14-16. Additional details will be forthcoming. See the full announcement

If you are no longer able to attend the ceremony, please e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org to update your status. Please contact the bookstore directly if you have any questions regarding your regalia or returns. The University Bookstore can be reached at 828.227. 7346.
The graduation fee is an application fee. Students who do not walk are still required to pay the fee as it is not a ceremony specific fee.
At this time, it is our understanding that your name recording will be stored until the postponed ceremony. We are unsure if the Marching Order name recording window will reopen, but this information is used to collect your name pronunciation only.
If you did not record your name via the Marching Order system, the name caller will use the most common pronunciation of your name.
