Please Note: These FAQs were updated September 30, 2020.
If you are no longer able to attend the ceremony, please e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org to update your status. Please contact the bookstore directly if you have any questions regarding your regalia or returns. The University Bookstore can be reached at 828.227. 7346.
The graduation fee is an application fee. Students who do not walk are still required to pay the fee as it is not a ceremony specific fee.
At this time, it is our understanding that your name recording will be stored until the postponed ceremony. We are unsure if the Marching Order name recording window will reopen, but this information is used to collect your name pronunciation only.
If you did not record your name via the Marching Order system, the name caller will use the most common pronunciation of your name.
As our state continues to open and guidance on size and management of gatherings evolve, commencement planning is underway. The team here at WCU is working diligently to plan a commencement that will allow us to celebrate and recognize your accomplishments in a meaningful and safe way. We know you and your families share our sentiment and are anxious to learn how WCU will be holding commencement. At this time, we are exploring many options available to us. As you can imagine, a great deal will be dependent on the ongoing pandemic.
