Advising Center Vision: The Advising Center at Western Carolina University aspires to be a fundamental part of each student's journey to academic success.

Advising Center Mission: The mission of the Advising Center is to promote the growth and development of students as they develop educational plans and choose career and life goals. The Advising Center strives to empower all students to take ownership of their education by providing personalized, comprehensive academic advising in a supportive environment. Our appreciative advising model involves developing one-on-one relationships with students, supporting and encouraging their decision making processes, assisting with academic persistence and success, and serving as a professional resource to the university.

Meet with a Professional Advisor

Need to meet with an advisor? Current students can make an appointment with their professional advisor via the advising/tutoring link on their myWCU. The Advising Center offers walk-ins from 10am-4pm, Monday through Friday for all your general questions! If you have any major specific concerns or inquiries, please be sure to make an appointment with your primary advisor.
