CCPD Services and COVID-19 - Updated 3/16/2020
The CCPD is offering virtual career counseling services to students and alumni. All appointments will be conducted via Zoom and can be scheduled through myWCU and the "Get Assistance" blue button or by contacting our office at email@example.com. New to Zoom? It's easy to use. You will receive an email with a link to your zoom appointment or phone call in number. At the start of your appointment time, simply click the link or call in.
We will continue to offer drop-in services as well. If you have a quick question or would like your documents reviewed, please email firstname.lastname@example.org. If you are submitting a resume or cover letter for review, please include the types of opportunities you are applying to in your email.
The Center for Career and Professional Development offers counseling appointments for the following services:

Depending on the subject, appointments are 30-45 minutes long with a trained career professional. These appointments can be in-person, over the phone, or virtually through Zoom software. We also offer in-person appointments at Biltmore Park in Asheville, NC one afternoon/evening per week.
Our office is located in Reid 150. Our entrance faces the metered parking lot, Lot #30, beside the Cat-Tran Hub and Scott Hall.
Alumni can schedule their appointments by calling the Career Center at 828.227.7133.
The Center for Career and Professional Development also offers DROP-IN HOUR service which are 15 minute appointments offered Monday - Friday from 2:00pm - 4:00pm in the Center for Career and Professional Development and Tuesdays 6:00pm-8:00pm in the Scholar Studio of Hunter Library. These appointments are staffed by our trained Peer Career Mentor team and are useful for those students or alumni who have (1) never written a resume/cover letter before or (2) have already had a draft of their resume/cover letter reviewed by a career professional. Drop-in hours can be used for the following:
Off-campus students, graduate students or any student at Biltmore Park, distance learners, alumni, or students at home between sessions can still access all of our services, not just on the website but online in real-time. Please identify in your Navigate appointment that you would like a Zoom session. For alumni please call the office at 828-227-7133 to set-up an appointment.
