What are the editing stations?

The editing stations are computers to support work created in the recording booths.  There are two iMacs and two Windows PCs available, and they contain the same software options as the computers in the booths.

Who can use the editing stations?

They are available to members of the WCU community (students, faculty, and staff). Just log in with your WCU username and password.

What kind of software is available?

A variety of programs are installed, including:

  • Audacity
  • Final Cut Pro X (Mac only)
  • Logic Pro X (Mac only)
  • Studio One 4 (Windows only)
  • Adobe Creative Cloud suite

If you need help, or would like to recommend a piece of software that we don’t have, please get in touch with the Scholar Studio.

Do I need a reservation?

No! Like the other library computers, our editing stations are first come, first served.
If all four editing stations are in use, you may want to try the computers available downstairs in the Tech Commons. They have several high-end workstations with some of the same programs installed.

Does the library offer any accessories for the editing stations?

We have a variety of computer accessories that you can check out, such as flash drives and external hard drives, an audio interface, a Wacom tablet, and studio monitoring headphones. Visit our Circulation page for a complete list of the materials we offer for checkout. A wide variety of equipment is available for checkout at the Tech Commons.
