Hunter Library Comment Policy

Hunter Library values your feedback and invites interaction via several platforms. In the Library building and online, we strive to create a safe and inclusive environment for all. That environment is not open to discrimination against individuals due to race, color, national origin, religion, sex, gender identity (including gender expression), sexual orientation, disability, age, marital status, or family/parental status. Please refer to University Policy 10 (Non-Discrimination and Equal Opportunity) and University Policy 53 (Unlawful Discrimination, Sexual Misconduct, and Retaliation) for more details.

We welcome relevant comments but reserve the right (but are not obligated) to remove postings that (1) are obscene, racist, discriminatory, derogatory, or of a similar nature; (2) are personal attacks, insults, or legitimate threats to safety; (3) violate the intellectual property rights of the University or of any third party; (4) are commercial promotions or spam; (5) cannot be translated into English by way of any free online translation service; (6) advocate illegal activity; or (7) violate any local, state, or federal law. Western Carolina University Library is not responsible or liable for content posted by patrons in any forum, message board, or other social media resource, and such subscriber comments do not reflect the opinions and/or positions of Western Carolina University, Western Carolina University Library, its administrators, or its employees.
