Biography

Dr. Yang Zhang is an Assistant Professor in the School of Engineering + Technology at Western Carolina University. Dr. Zhang achieved his Doctor of Philosophy and Master of Science degrees in Industrial Engineering from Texas Tech University.<br><br>Dr. Zhang has published multiple articles in wide recognized high-status journals and conference proceedings in the area of additive manufacturing and advanced manufacturing. Dr. Zhang also serves as reviewer for varies journals, including Materials & Design (IF: 8.4), Optics and Laser Technology (IF: 5.0), Wear (IF: 5.0), Scientific Reports (IF: 4.9), Materials Chemistry and Physics (IF: 4.6), Intermetallics (IF: 4.4), etc.<br><br>Dr. Zhang is a recipient of College of Engineering and Technology Board of Governors Distinguished Teaching Award. Dr. Zhang is passionate of conducting engineering education with innovative methods; he believes the best method for conveying the subject matter is the interest.
