Biography

I moved to WNC in 2004 after completing my MSN at Vanderbilt University and was board certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner. I have served the communities of WNC as an FNP in rural emergency departments and urgent cares since 2005. I was afforded the opportunity to join the faculty at WCU in the fall of 2014 as an assistant professor and Program Director for the Post-Master's Doctor of Nursing Practice Program.

Nurse Practitioner Utilization in Emergency Triage, CMS Guideline Compliance for Emergency Medicine Providers, Quality and Safety Improvement in Emergency Medicine, Intimate Partner Violence and Resiliency Theory for Health Care Providers
