Rebecca is the Cataloging and Metadata Librarian at Hunter Library. She was awarded her MLIS from the University of South Carolina, Columbia in 2019. She has worked in Technical Services in academic libraries since 2013. Her experience is grounded in cataloging and digital collections.
Her research interests focus on critical cataloging, a subset of critical librarianship that focuses on analyzing the ways that subject analysis, classification, and knowledge organization reinforce hierarchies of oppression and on transforming these long-held descriptive practices.
