Professor Peter Ormerod is a licensed attorney and teaches in the business law program. Before joining WCU, he practiced law with Holland & Knight LLP in Washington, D.C.
Professor Ormerod teaches Individual Rights (LAW 201), Legal and Ethical Environment of Business (LAW 230), Legal Aspects of Managing Technology (LAW 302), and Unfair Business Practices (LAW 303).
Professor Ormerod’s research focuses on information privacy law. He has published law review articles on the duty of data security, technology’s effect on the Fourth Amendment, and regulatory structures that enable the effective enforcement of privacy rights.
