Dr. Oakleaf earned her B.S. as a Parks and Recreation Management major at Western Carolina University, then went on to earn her M.S. in Recreation Administration at UNC, Chapel Hill and her Ph.D. in Parks, Recreation, and Tourism Management at North Carolina State University. She has seven years of experience as a camp director, and has worked full time for the Girl Scouts and the YMCA.
