I am delighted to join Western Carolina University as Assistant Professor of Philosophy and Religion. I come to WCU after spending two years as Visiting Assistant Professor at Whitman College. I hold a B.A. in English Literature from Lake Forest College, and I earned an M.A. and Ph.D. in Religion, Literature, and Visual Culture from the University of Chicago Divinity School. As someone raised in the state of Illinois, I'm thrilled to call the Appalachian mountains my new home. When not working, you can find me hanging out with Joni Mitchell (my dog).
