Kevin teaches in the Department of Communication at WCU and is a Ph.D. Candidate in the College of Communication & Information at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville (UTK). He teaches sections of Foundations of Communication, and his research examines the information-seeking behaviors of disabled students in higher education, as well as the implementation of Universal Design for Learning (UDL) in higher education institutions.

Teaching Interests

Kevin presently teaches Foundations of Communication, which reviews interpersonal and group communication, in addition to public speaking. He previously taught courses in information retrieval and user-centered design at UTK.

Research Interests

Kevin has collaborated with colleagues from top-tier research universities to present scholarship at regional and international conferences for library and information sciences. His dissertation examines the information-seeking behaviors of students with autism in higher education. Other research interests include the provision of assistive technologies in academic libraries and the implementation of UDL in higher education.
