Biography

Jessica Cory received her B.A. in English at Ohio University, her M.A. in English with a concentration in Creative Writing, Poetry at East Carolina University, and also completed a Graduate Certificate in Multicultural and Transnational Literature at ECU. She is currently enrolled in the PhD program in English at UNCG studying Native American Literature. She has taught Composition at a variety of 2 and 4-year institutions throughout North Carolina and also has a great deal of experience as a writing tutor and writing center administrator.

Teaching Interests

Jessica Cory has taught a variety Composition I and II courses as well as Professional and Technical Writing and Developmental Writing and Reading. She also enjoys teaching Literature and the Environment.

Research Interests

Jessica Cory's research interests include Appalachian Literature, African American Literature, Ecocriticism and Nature Writing, and Indigenous/Native American Literature.
