Instructor / Studio Technician, Kevin Kirkpatrick, started working full time at Western Carolina University in August of 2005. He has been there since he was invited to teach at Western as an adjunct professor in 1998 where he taught classes in painting and drawing.
Kevin's teaching interests include training future artists and art teachers in the visual arts as well as maintaining a safe and productive studio environment. He guides and directs students, beginning to graduate, in their chosen medium.
His primary research interest ranges from experimental drawing and creative 2D and 3D design work. Specifically, he is interested in working with graduate students to develop their work through writing, critiques, and exhibitions.
