Biography

Emily Querin is an Assistant Professor in the School of Nursing. She currently works with the Accelerated BSN program teaching emerging trends, ethics and health policy, and advanced nursing and critical care. Prior to joining the faculty at WCU, Ms. Querin worked at UNC Medical Center in the Emergency Department of the Level 1 Adult and Pediatric trauma center. While there, she pursued her MSN in Nursing Education and contributed to education within the new graduate residency program.

Teaching Interests

Beyond trauma and critical care, teaching interests include discussion and reflection of current issues impacting the discipline of nursing and how present-day social, political, technological, and/or ethical issues impact nursing practice.

Research interests include trauma stewardship and resilience in healthcare.
