Career History includes: 5 years as a public school English-Language Arts teacher, 10 years as a School Counselor, 3 years as a Clinical Mental Health Counselor - before becoming a Counselor Educator in 2011.

Teaching Interests include: Professional School Counseling; Counseling Children and Adolescents, Developmental Trauma (Child Abuse, Poverty, etc), Spirituality in Counseling, Sexual Abuse Counseling, Advanced Techniques (Motivational Interviewing) and Helping Relationship.

Research Interests

Child Sexual Abuse in Males, the Development of Resilience to Traumatic Experiences, Effective Use of Motivational Interviewing in Impacting Change Behavior in Clients, Ecopsychology.
