Biography

Christopher comes to WCU after serving as Production Manager for a consortium of regional theatres for twelve seasons- Great Lakes Theater, Idaho Shakespeare Festival and Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival. As a member of the senior management team, he was instrumental in creating a dynamic production model with the three companies sharing over 40 productions during his tenure. Christopher managed all aspects of production for the companies including oversight of all scheduling, budgeting, supervision of production design and implementation, and recruiting and hiring production staff.<br><br>Prior to his work with Great Lakes, Christopher served as Director of Production at Cleveland Opera for two seasons. His additional theatre management experience includes work as an AEA stage manager on over fifty productions for a variety of companies including: The Acting Company, Two River Theater Company, Great Lakes Theater Festival, Elm Shakespeare, The American Symphony Orchestra, and Lincoln Center Institute, among others. <br><br>Christopher also served as a guest lecturer and adjunct faculty member at Kent State University for three years, where he taught production and stage management. He earned his BFA from the University of the North Carolina School of the Arts.

Teaching Interests

My primary focus in teaching is in stage management and production management for the theatre. I also teach introduction to theatre, THEA 104 and THEA 270/486.
