Biography

Dr. Grube is a professor of Sport Management and the Interim Associate Dean for the College of Business at Western Carolina University. She earned her Ph.D. from The Florida State University in 1998, an M.P.A. from Georgia College and State University in 1994, an M.S. in sport management from Georgia Southern University in 1991, and a B.B.A. in marketing and management from Georgia College in 1990. <br><br>Dr. Grube worked for six years in the Cape Cod Baseball League – three years as Asst. General Manager for the Chatham A’s and three years as General Manager of the Wareham Gatemen. Before pursuing her Ph.D., she worked for the Ivan Allen College of Management at Georgia Tech and BellSouth Advertising and Publishing Company. While at Florida State, she was a graduate assistant in the Department of Athletics.<br><br>Since arriving at Western Carolina University in 1999, Dr. Grube has served as Assistant to the Chancellor for Equal Opportunity Programs, Assistant Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, and Director of the School of Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, and Business Law. In addition, Dr. Grube is currently Faculty Athletics Representative for WCU. She has also served as President of the Southern Conference. In addition, she has been a member of the NCAA’s Committee on Institutional Performance and a member of the NCAA’s Legislative Committee.
