Biography

Although Alicia’s background is in biopsychology, Alicia now considers herself a positive psychologist. She loves sharing with her students and friends the therapeutic effects of self-care techniques such as exercise and meditation.<br><br>Alicia graduated summa cum laude with her BA in Psychology at Wilkes University. Her exceptional academic performance earned her the Turner Fellowship to study biopsychology at Stony Brook University, where she earned her MA in Psychology and discovered her love for teaching. Since graduate school, Alicia has taught undergraduate courses at Stony Brook University, the University of Scranton, Five Towns College, and A-B Tech, as well as provided career advising to both students and professionals.<br><br>In 2018, Alicia found her academic home at WCU. Initially teaching as an adjunct, Alicia now works full-time as an instructor and advisor in the psychology department. <br><br>In her spare time, you will find Alicia practicing yoga, watching movies with her husband, Paul, or petting her cat, The Meatball.
