Robertson Residence Hall

 

Robertson Hall is named after former college board chairman Reuben B. Robertson.  Robertson served as President and Chairman of the Board of Champion Paper & Fiber Company in Canton.  Robertson is credited as the first person in the paper industry to start a "tree farm" program for paper mills - treating trees like any other farm product.  He was named "Man of the South" for the 1950s being cited for his leadership in the field of human relations, forest conservation and exponent of American free enterprise.

Parking: Reynolds - Robertson Lot (Lot 52) and Old Water Tower Lot (Lot 51) immediately adjacent to the building.  (Provided for informational purposes only.  On-campus parking requires the purchase of a permit and eligibility to park in various lots is determined by the type of permit for which a student is eligible.  In addition, purchase of a permit does not guarantee parking in any particular parking spot or lot.)
Notable features:  

  • Home to students in the Emergency Medical Services program.
  • Located up the hill (.2 mile walk) from Brown Hall - home to The Lodge at Brown Hall, 1889 Bistro, Blue Ridge Burger and Starbucks at Brown Hall.

Double rooms in Robertson Hall have a bathroom and a kitchenette in the room.  Note that there are two sets of furniture in the room - one set for each resident.
