Blue Ridge and Balsam Residence Halls

 

Located in the heart of campus, right off of the Plaza, both Blue Ridge and Balsam halls are co-ed and consist of both private and double rooms arranged suite-style. Private rooms share a bathroom with one other private room resident, while each double room has its own bath. With sinks located in each room.

The buildings are joined together by a library breezeway. Each of the four floors is air-conditioned with two community kitchens, common living room and lounge with two studies. Blue Ridge Hall has a large multipurpose room located on the first floor.

Private rooms feature one loftable extra large twin bed, a movable wardrobe/dresser, a moveable desk with desk chair, high-speed internet, cable TV jack and horizontal blinds. Double Rooms include two loftable extra large twin bed, two movable wardrobe/dressers, two movable desks with desk chairs, high-speed internet, cable TV jack and horizontal blinds.

Members of the Brinson Honors College and Teaching Fellows reside in Balsam and hold many activities in the common areas of the hall.
