The ACT Residual is the ACT designed especially for students who want to come to Western Carolina University and want to increase the ACT scores to be more competitive for enrollment. The ACT Residual score CANNOT be reported to any other higher education institution.

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY: Admission to WCU’s School of Nursing requires candidates to take all 4 multiple choice sections of the ACT Residual Exam. No essay is required. Scores for this test are NOT transferable to any other program or school.
WCU charges a non-refundable test administration fee of $69.00.

How Often Can the Test be Taken?
The ACT residual may be taken only once every 60 days. Examinees may take the ACT no more than 12 times total.
On the Day of the Exam:
ALL QUESTIONS REGARDING ADMISSION TO THE NURSING PROGRAM AND TEAS TESTING SHOULD BE DIRECTED TO THE WCU SCHOOL OF NURSING.
