Root Cause Analysis / Solution Identification

This one-day workshop is centered around aiding people working in for-profit/non-profit organizations to understand the principles of root cause discovery and best solution recognition. This program can also be customized as an off-site or on-site training for companies based on an on-site needs assessment of your work processes and systems.

The morning, focuses on “root-cause” diagnosis, and discusses:

  • properly defining the problem
  • constructing a Ishikawa diagram and action items
  • utilizing proper problem-based brain-storming skills
  • data translation
  • paradigms
  • factors-to-outcomes conclusion

 The afternoon, focuses primarily on solution identification using:

  • step-ladder-solution brain storming
  • “convergent-solutions”
  • rapid-ideation
  • Delphi method of solution seeking

Lean is a philosophy applicable to any organization or industry. Its primary focus is to improve customer experience while reducing unnecessary clutter and process steps thereby improving customer satisfaction and employee morale.

  • Value Stream Mapping

Six Sigma Yellowbelt Training

February 18-21, 2020
8 a.m. - 4 p.m., Tuesday-Thursday and 8 a.m. - 12 p.m. on Friday
WCU at Biltmore Park, Asheville
Registration fee: Early-bird $899. After January 18, $999

This program, designed specifically for healthcare professionals, offers ideas and tools for immediate use at your healthcare organization. Six Sigma participants will learn how other healthcare organizations such as the Mayo Clinic, Johns Hopkins University and the Cleveland Clinic have utilized Six Sigma to improve patient quality.

In the Six Sigma workshop, participants will earn a “Yellow Belt” and learn how to apply the 5-step methodology of Six Sigma in patient care, laboratory support, food service, OR and ED.”

Other topics include: clinical team dynamics, proper chartering of healthcare projects, valid process measuring systems, improvement methodologies and designs, how to sustain healthcare process improvement outcomes and continue to achieve patient quality and satisfaction metrics.
