Join fellow members of your Catamount family on this exciting journey to the Emerald Isle in support of the phenomenal Pride of the Mountains Marching Band! Ireland’s spectacular beauty and culture awaits. Feast your eyes on the awe-inspiring Wild Atlantic Way and the rugged splendor of Inishmore and Achill Islands. Listen to a storyteller, indulge in delectable, authentic cuisine and see border collies corral sheep! Along the way, savor the warm, welcoming ambience of small towns and bustling cities. Best of all, revel in the band marching down the streets of Dublin in style! It’s a heartwarming adventure you won’t want to miss!

Day 1 | Transit – Depart gateway city to Shannon, Republic of Ireland
Day 2 | Transfer to Shannon | Ennis with an evening reception featuring local performances
Day 3 | The Burren | Cliffs of Moher and experience an Irish Senachai tell traditional Irish tales
Day 4 | Aran Islands – visit Inishmore by ferry
Day 5 | Galway | Westport
Day 6 | Achill Island and experience A Vision of Ireland” with a local artist and art historian
Day 7 | Connemara
Day 8 | County Sligo | Donegal | Glasgough with lodging at The Castle Leslie
Day 9 | Glasgough
Day 10 | Newgrange | Dublin
Day 11 | Dublin – cheer on the WCU Pride of the Mountains Marching Band in the St. Patrick’s Day parade
Day 12 | Transit – transfer to airport for the return flight to your gateway city.

First priority for participation in the program will be given to members of WCU’s top two giving societies – the Madison Legacy Society and Cullowhee Society. The Madison Legacy Society recognizes donors who have made planned gifts to the university or to the WCU Foundation, while the Cullowhee Society acknowledges cumulative giving of gifts totaling $100,000 or more. Note: Tour schedule is subject to change due to local conditions. Many excursions in this program involve an element of walking as some of the finest attractions are located in areas not closely accessible by motorcoach.
